Silent Assassin

Director - Roger Mende

Status: Post Production

This was a classic. I got a call from a friend I met at the theatre. They were looking of for someone to play a scientist who bascially gets shot and dies. "I'm your man," I said, and went down.

This was my first film role ever. I was working in an office at the time and my manager Thom Steinhoff was asked to direct an indie film. I've offered to help out so Thom and the producer/writer/lead Tony Winters knew I was an aspiring actor and wrote me a two-line role as an Australian waiter.

The Last Day Known

A horror shot film directed by Victor Alvarez as a showcase for things to come. I played the obnoxious Australian room mate who gets his brain devoured by a zombie. So no stretch there!

A classic tale of good vs. evil. Two cowboys kidnap an Indian girl and her husband comes to save her. I play the cowboy of course and we're the bad guys.

Conscious

Director - Justin Schaack
Supporting

I worked with Justin on an earlier project which went well so he called me back. I turned up to the set to see a woman beaten up and bleeding in an alley way. That's my set. I had a couple of scenes as a cop and got to save the girl.

Monday

Director - Tomas Fernandez-Calvo
Supporting
Status: Post Production

This was a really nice professional set. Wardrobe, makeup and even craft services. I must be moving up in the world. I had a one page scene as a doctor (who gets the girl) and was working with the two leads. It was interesting walking into the last day of shooting as the new boy on the block and everyone else so comfortable.

Intellect

Director - Lawson Deming
Leading
Status: Completed & Screened

What attracted me to this role was that I was the only character in the film and I had no dialogue. Instead there was only my voice reading a letter over the entire film. So it was a real exercise in trying to show as many of my thoughts to the camera through behaviour and attitude. A really challanging role.

Samaritan

Director - Nathan Gotsch
Leading
Status: Completed & Screened

I finally got to play the bad guy. Funny, Nathan saw my last short film and thought I'd be perfect for the role. I had to assault a woman, steal her purse, almost get run over by my partner and then yell at him for it. Maybe I'm just that kind of guy.

Simulacra

Director - Justin Schaack
Leading
Status: Completed & Screened

The film was all about photocopies and clones. I played the clone so it was challanging to bring something unique and theatrical to the role when I was supposed to be imitating the original. "You either create or imitate" kept creeping into my mind.

The Mysterious Mr. Love

Theatre: Group Repertory Theatre
Director: Kristina Lloyd

This play was my absolute favorite to date. It’s set in London 1910 and I played Mr. Love who woos unsuspecting women, marries them, convinces them to hand over their life’s savings and then disappears.

Scathed

Theatre: Gardner Stages
Director: Richard Kuhlman

This was a fun original play by up-and-coming writer Sean Muir. The whole play is a series of vignettes (short scenes) with a bunch of different characters and stories that weave and thread themselves to the end.

Legends and Bridge

Theatre: Group Repertory Theatre
Director: Stan Mazin
Character: Madison (Leading)

Now, this was a fun production. Imagine Betty Davis (played by Stephen Foster - yes a man and also the playwright), Judy Garland, and Joan Crawford all in the same room together. Bitchy!! I played Betty's boy toy but played each woman off against the other in order to suit my own agenda.

Kitchen Privileges

Theatre: Group Repertory Theatre
Director: Jodie Harrison
Character: Casey (Leading)

This was an original play by Betty Ellington Smith and the perfect play for me. I played a young innocent guy who comes to Hollywood seeking fame and fortune as an actor. Sound familiar? Well, all except the innocent part. He takes a room and falls in love with an older cynical woman who's given up on life.

The Dance

Theatre: NoHo Theatre Festival
Director: Frances Mizrahi
Character: Carl (Leading)

This was an original piece written by Frances Mizrahi which I performed with Kristina Lloyd at the NoHo Theatre Festival. Lonny Chapman actually came to one of our performances. Kristina and I both eagerly awaited his response and we later heard he gave a nod of approval. Note, a nod from Lonny is a big deal.

This was the first time I was ever on stage in public. Fresh out of acting class I auditioned for what I thought was going to be a "role" in a new play. I turned out to be a glorified usher.

Valley College Promo

I was part of a promotional video for the film department at "Los Angeles Valley College". Great premise! The promo starts off with various shots that look like an elite Special Forces group gearing up for a "job". At the end of the promo you realize the group is actually a guerilla film crew.
