I played a wild "Billy the Kid" who wants to take over the reins of the old worn-out heroes Jesse James and Wild Bill Hickock.
After a dazzling duel of words (I literally got on my soap box!) I finally challange Hickock to a shoot-out. I don't even get my gun out of my holster when I'm shot dead.
Shelly was great to work with, and I couldn't have captured Billy the Kid's craziness yet sincerity and thirst for life without him. Though it was a story of renegade heroes, it was really a reflection of national politics and views. |
