This play was my absolute favorite to date. It’s set in London 1910 and I played Mr. Love who woos unsuspecting women, marries them, convinces them to hand over their life’s savings and then disappears.
I stumbled across the play by accident in the library and showed it to Kristina Lloyd (director) and Julie Davis (actor). We decided to produce this two character romantic thriller ourselves and began work straight away.
Unfortunately the rights had just been snapped up by a producer in New York. They were planning a Broadway production. Disappointed as we were, we still went ahead and performed the play for the theatre company.
Full of dark humor, twists, and turns, the story kept the audience guessing and laughing uncontrollably at times! |
