Theatre: Group Repertory Theatre Director: Chris Winfield Character: Blanco (Leading)
I just returned from London when I heard they were looking for an understudy for the next main stage production. I'd never understudied before, and it was a great role, so I said yes.
The play is actually a little known piece written by George Bernard Shaw. I play a renegade who takes my brother's horse (the local preacher) and nearly faces the gallows at a mock town trial. Throw in a sherrif, his deputy, the town whore and a bunch of trigger happy yokels and it's one wild ride.
I had plenty of time with the script but only one pick up rehearsal before actually performing. Challenging! The show was full of really experienced actors and I learned so much by being on stage with them and also watching them work, especially Paul Gandolfo. |
